Uber and AT&T pair up, will be preloaded on Android phones this summer

Starting this summer, the car service beloved by of us will become the AT&T bloatware loathed by, well, just about everyone.

Uber and AT&T today announced a partnership that will use the U.S. carrier’s data in its cars. And in turn, Uber’s app will be preloaded onto new Android phones on AT&T. Beats Music apps for Android and Windows Phone to live on

In acquiring Beats Music, Apple will have its first non-iOS mobile applications under its control and importantly it looks like those apps will live on after the acquisition. According to Tim Bradshaw of the Financial Times, the Android and Windows Phone Beats Music apps are safe:

Google has just published a blog post that gives insight into the diversity at the company. The numbers published detail the gender and ethnic diversity within the workforce. T-Mobile holding Uncarrier 5.0 event in LA next month

T-Mobile has setup another Uncarrier event for June 18 in Los Angeles. This will be their fifth such event, hence the name Uncarrier 5.0.
