Google to take legal action in Turkey over YouTube ban

Google has filed a formal protest with the Turkish courts over the recent YouTube ban. The ban had been lifted Saturday by a lesser court, but the decision was reversed until “criminal content” — recordings of a state security meeting about Syria — are removed.

Verizon HTC One Max update to Android 4.4.2 rolling out as scheduled

The Verizon HTC One Max KitKat update has started rolling out, with users in the Android Central forums downloading it right now.

Sprint shutting down WiMAX by end of 2015

Sprint’s WiMAX network isn’t long for this world. The first “4G” network to launch in the United States, WiMAX was hampered by Sprint’s available spectrum and shamed by the speeds brought on by the launch of LTE on Verizon and AT&T. Having thrown in the towel on WiMAX and rushed to launch their own LTE network, Sprint is now paving the way to shut down their old WiMAX network by the end of next year.
