US Galaxy Nexus to launch after November 17


Telegraph is reporting that the flagship Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, will not be launching in the United States until after the European launch on November 17. Telegraph indicated that Samsung confirmed a later US launch at the Galaxy Note launch.

Google+ for Android update now rolling out – UI changes and bug fixes aplenty


Google+ is getting some love tonight. The latest version has just been pushed to the Android Market and should be showing up for most folks. If not, you’ll just have to sit tight for a little while longer. This release — created during the Ice Cream Sandwich developement brings a few changes to the table.

European Xoom wifi receiving an update to Android 3.2

Albeit a little behind the times, the European versions of the Motorola Xoom Wifi are now beginning to receive a software update that includes an update to version 3.2 of Honeycomb.

Users in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK should be seeing the update notifications start to appear on their devices.

Samsung’s SCH-W999 dual-screen phone destined for China Telecom


Samsung will be releasing the dual-screen SCH-W999 in China. This phone features a five megapixel rear-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 3.5-inch 480 x 800 AMOLED display accompanied by three touch buttons. The inside packs a similar screen plus a physical keypad. The phone is powered by a MSM8660 chip and supports both GSM and CDMA2000 on China Telecom.
