Eric Schmidt: Google is ‘absolutely committed’ to Google TV, expect more partners soon

In Edinburgh, Scotland today Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt told listeners at a television festival that Google is fully committed to continuing and expanding the Google TV project, both with new content providers as well as new hardware OEMs.

Acer Iconia A500 3.2 update now landing September 10th

Trojan HongTouTou Found in Chinese App Markets

Lookout and NetQin discover a new Android Trojan that is repackaged in popular Android apps and distributed through app markets and forums serving Chinese-speaking users. Two variants of the latest Android malware have been spotted in two alternative Android application markets that primarily target Chinese customers, according to security researchers.

Necessitas Eases Porting Of Nokia QT Apps To Android

Nokia’s developers are up in arms about not being able to develop on the new Nokia Windows phones with the QT interface framework. Currently developers can develop an app with QT and their app will work on all Nokia platforms but not once Windows Mobile is introduced. Nokia developers are complaining that they don’t want to have to program for Windows Mobile.

Blu-Ray Videos Coming with Android Viewing Option

Blu-Ray videos are starting to come with an Android option so that you can download the video to your device.

Unstoppable which just came out this week is the first movie to come with this new technology.

To access Blu-ray Digital Copy on Android, users must have Blu-ray disc, a wi-fi connected Blu-ray player, Android 1.6  or higher, and the PocketBLU app, which can be downloaded free from the  Android Market.
