Google expands its Launchpad Accelerator program to Africa and Europe

The submission process is now open to more technology startups based in emerging markets.

Google is expanding its Launchpad Accelerator program to two more continents. African and European countries have been added to the lineup. They include Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Poland, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

Launchpad Accelerator already fields entries from Latin America and Asia. Those countries include Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The six-month mentorship program provides equity-free support  [Read More…]

HTC One M9 gets Nougat in Europe, Turkey, South Africa

Other regions to follow for Android 7.0 on HTC’s 2015 flagship.

HTC’s Android 7.0 Nougat update program in Europe hasn’t been running entirely smoothly so far, with the OTA for the HTC 10 being pulled shortly after last week’s launch. Nevertheless, the company is continuing its Nougat rollout, and today Android 7.0 hits the HTC One M9 in mainland Europe, Turkey and South Africa, according to HTC Europe’s Graham Wheeler.

HTC One M9 now receiving Android 5.1 update in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa

Following yesterday’s announcement, HTC has started rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update — coming in at 831.88MB — to the One M9 in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

HTC One M9 owners who live in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will begin seeing the Android 5.1 update hitting their devices beginning August 4. Graham Wheeler, HTC’s Product and Service Director of EMEA tweeted information about the update.
