BBM on Android Wear is almost exactly what you’d expect

Today at CES 2015, BlackBerry announced that Android Wear support will soon be coming to BBM, and we went wrist-on to check out how it works. And, well, it works almost exactly like you’d expect. You get all the appropriate notifications on your connected Android Wear smartwatch (in this case it was demoed on a Moto 360), and the ability to reply.

Sprint boasts almost 1 million new subscribers in preliminary Q3 2014 report

Sprint today released preliminary results from the third fiscal quarter of 2014, showing the company acquiring almost 1 million new subscribers. Reported growth was driven by the strongest postpaid gross additions in three years, painting a positive picture for the US network.

The Nexus 6 almost had a fingerprint sensor


It looks like Motorola never really figured out the whole finger-print sensor thing. Many people out there believe the 2014 Moto X was meant to have a fingerprint scanner based on the odd Motorola dimple on the back. Turns out, the Nexus 6 and Android 5.0 were suppose to make fingerprint scanning a standard for Android phones. You’ll find proof in the Android Open Source Project.

YouTube’s music streaming service almost ready for launch, according to CEO


YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki spoke about YouTube’s upcoming music streaming service and stated that the service will offer offline playback and other functionality with competitors.

Whilst no additional granular details were offered about the service, Wojcicki is optimistic that the service will be launching in the near future.

YouTube is also reportedly looking at ways of offering paid subscriptions to remove advertising from videos.

YouTube’s music streaming service almost ready for launch, according to CEO

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was present at Re/code’s Code Mobile conference, where she spoke about the upcoming music streaming service from Google. The new service will offer offline playback and other functionality in line with competitor platforms, but will handle videos as well. Unfortunately, Wojcicki failed to shed light on some of the finer details.

Sharp’s stunning new Aquos Crystal with almost no bezel is heading to Sprint for $239

Sharp just yesterday unveiled their Sharp Aquos Crystal smartphone with stunningly-slim bezels, and today we’re getting official confirmation that the phone is coming to US carrier Sprint and its prepaid Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile brands. We don’t yet have an official release date for the phone, though we do now at least have pricing: $ 239.99, off contract.

LG Exec: LG G3 almost had even smaller bezels


The LG G3 is renowned for its slim bezels and is an engineering marvel when it comes to design, but the company were constantly pushing for even slimmer bezels.
