For the two brave souls who asked, the 3.5.2 update for the Amazon Fire Phone was just bugfixes. Nothing in the changelog about buyer’s remorse at all.

Amazon goes after Chromecast with new $39 Fire TV Stick


Amazon on Monday got the week started off by introducing a device which puts the Chromecast squarely in its sights. Called the Fire TV Stick, it’s a $ 39 unit that plugs into your TV and provides for playing of music, video,games, and more.

Nexus 9 delivery delayed in the UK until December by Amazon

Amazon is now letting users browse and purchase digital content from its flagship Android app, which sees the addition of categories like “Apps & Games” within the list of departments.

Amazon sees Fire TV content tripling since launch


If you’ve been considering an Amazon Fire TV then you might now give extra consideration toward pulling the trigger. According to Amazon, the content available for the device has tripled since its launch six months ago. Amazon posts $544 million operating loss in Q3, takes $170 million write-down on Fire Phone

Amazon just announced its Q3 2014 earnings, showing the largest operating loss in company history of $ 544 million for the quarter. That’s dramatically higher than the $ 25 million operating loss of Q3 2013, despite the fact that net sales were up 20 percent to $ 20.58 billion this quarter. Operating cash flow was also up for the quarter at $ 5.71 billion, but that still is in the shadow of such a large loss.  [Read More…]
