The service will be available in the U.S.

ZTE is being allowed to temporarily operate in the U.S. until August 1

ZTE’s back and forth with the U.S. continues.

A new month means new beginnings, a fresh start, and more ZTE drama. Most recently, it’s been announced that the United States Department of Commerce is allowing ZTE it resume some of its operations in the U.S. until August 1, 2018.

According to a report from Reuters, ZTE will be able to “engage in commercial transactions needed to maintain existing networks and equipment in the United States.”

Motorola’s Moto Z3 flagship will probably be unveiled on August 2

Motorola introduced the premium middle-range Moto Z3 Play last month. But what about a proper flagship? Don’t worry, it’s coming soon.

The company recently posted a teaser video in which it announces it will be hosting an event on August 2 at its HQ in Chicago. No other details are revealed in the clip, but our bet is that the company will unveil the Moto Z3 flagship.

DirecTV Now to increase its prices in August

Get ready to pay more on all of DirecTV Now’s plans, folks.

From our friends at CordCutters.com: DirecTV Now is increasing each of its its plans by $ 5 a month, starting in August. That’s according to marketing emails sent out to customers late Saturday evening. (You know, when people are expecting to learn about price increases.)

This is the first price increase since AT&T merged with Time Warner. Surely, a coincidence.

Motorola promises to change the way we use our phones on August 2

Maybe this is where we’ll get the Moto Z3?

Even though the Moto Z3 Play was just announced earlier this month, Motorola already has something else in store for us to check out.

Samsung will make the Galaxy Note 9 official on August 9th

In a rather surprising move, Samsung has started rolling out invitations for an Unpacked event on August 9th. The reason for the surprise is because this is likely the launch event for the Galaxy Note 9.

Previous iterations were also unveiled in August, but none were revealed this early.

U.S. unlocked Galaxy Note 8 receives first software update, stays on August security patch

Samsung cares about the U.S. unlocked Note 8! It really does!

Just a handful of days after the Galaxy Note 8 left pre-order status, Samsung has sent out its first update to the proper U.S. unlocked model.
