Samsung Galaxy Wi-Fi 5-inch now available in the UK

Samsung has announced the availability of the 5-inch Galaxy Wi-Fi, a 5-inch personal media player based on its Galaxy S line of smartphones.  It’s powered by a 1GHz single-core TI OMAP processor, and runs Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. No pricing information is included in the press release, but a cursory glance at Google Shopping shows prices of around £200 (~$ 310).

Minecraft available in the Market for most devices


Minecraft fans have been jealous of Xperia Play owners for over a month now. Sony Ericsson’s gaming device has maintained exclusivity over this game since August. After some delays, Minecraft: Pocket Edition has finally made it out to the rest of the world.

As Jerry will tell you, he’s a sucker for white devices and I’m sure a lot of others out there are as well. If you’ve been holding off and waiting, you can now pick one up for $ 150 on a 3-year contract or $ 600 without any contract.

Official Hotmail app now available in the Android Market

Microsoft has released its official Hotmail app for Android, available now (finally!) in the Android Market. For the Hotmail faithful, the native Android experience has been far from perfect, so an optimized app is welcome and overdue news. You’ll get push email, synced contacts and calendar, folder support, and even the ability to sync multiple Hotmail accounts.

LG Optimus 3D V10K firmware now available with 3D game converter

LG has begun rolling out a new firmware version for the European Optimus 3D. The new update, which carries the version number V10K, is the first to become available with LG’s 3D Game Converter software. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S now available on Vodafone UK

Vodafone UK has become the first British network to stock Sony Ericsson’s shiny new flagship phone, the Xperia Arc S. It’s currently available for free, on 24-month contracts of £31 or more per month, and at that price you’ll get a monthly allowance of 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.
