Google Pay now available on the web via desktop and iOS

Available in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Since Google Pay started replacing Android Pay last February, we’ve seen steady expansions of the service. Google added transit passes in March, and now it’s expanding to the web on desktop and iOS.

Samsung has started pre-orders on its new 128GB and 256GB variants of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The devices should ship starting May 18th.

Essential Phone now available in more countries

Essential is making some big news as we head into the weekend.

Essential is now selling the Essential Phone and its accessories in Canada, France, Japan, and the U.K. The company does note that there are some special terms and conditions that apply to these orders, so if you live in one of those four countries and are thinking about buying from Essential, you should read the company’s info.

Huawei P20 series will likely be available in Canada on May 17

Currently no word on pricing.

The P20 lineup is one of the most impressive we’ve seen from Huawei in some time, and we’ve heard that it’s bringing all three of the phones to Canada.

Sonos One will be available in red, yellow, and green this September

The new colors will come with a $ 30 price increase over the regular models.

The Sonos One is already a good-looking speaker, but it’ll soon get a welcome jolt of color thanks to a new partnership with Danish design brand HAY.

After being announced earlier this month, the Fitbit Versa is now available for purchase. The base model starts at $ 199, while the Special Edition model features an NFC chip for mobile payments and costs $ 229.95.

Android Auto’s wireless mode is now available for Pixel and Nexus phones

More devices should support the feature soon.

Back at Google I/O 2017, Google announced that Android Auto was gaining a new wireless mode that allowed your phone to essentially connect to a Wi-Fi network your car/head unit put out so you could get the Android Auto experience without having to mess with any cables. Pioneer, Kenwood, and JVC announced a few units at CES 2018 that supported this feature, but up until now, it still wasn’t live.

Samsung DeX Pad for Galaxy S9/+ now available for pre-order

Samsung has announced pre-orders are available for the DeX Pad for Galaxy S9 device. Pre-order run for $ 100 and will begin shipping in May.
