T-Mobile HTC One M7 begins its Lollipop rollout

The over-the-air update is starting its roll out to the owners of the smartphone one day earlier than first announced by HTC.

We have received a tip from a member of Android Central’s forums that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the T-Mobile HTC One M7 has started. Last week, HTC’s Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi indicated that the OTA update would start on Tuesday.

AT&T begins Android 5.0.2 Lollipop soak test for 2014 Moto X (updated – not just a soak test!)

Samsung has begun mass production of a new version of its Exynos 7 Octa processor, made with a 14nm FinFET process technology. The company previously announced the Exynos 7 Octa in October, but made using a 20nm process.

Sprint begins rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to HTC One M8

Sprint has posted on its support site that its rollout of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to owners of the HTC One M8 has begun. This is a few days earlier than what a leaked Sprint document sent to Android Central on Thursday indicated, but it is a welcome surprise nonetheless.

Motorola begins rolling out Lollipop to Moto G in India and the US

Motorola has announced on Google+ today that the company has started rolling out Lollipop for the Moto G in the US and India. The company notes that this is a phased rollout, but should you own the affected Android smartphones in the mentioned regions, at least you’ll be aware of the imminent update hitting your device.

Facebook begins testing sound clip transcription in Messenger

Facebook‘s David Marcus took to his, well, Facebook page today to detail a new voice transcription feature that the company is testing for Facebook Messenger. The feature will take any sound clip that you send or receive and transcribe its contents in text below the voice clip itself.
