OnePlus breaks into the top five global brands in the premium category

Strong sales of the OnePlus 6T allowed the brand to climb up the ladder.

With flagships from Samsung and Huawei now crossing the $ 1,000 mark, there’s increased interest in “affordable flagship” devices that offer similar hardware at around the $ 600 price point. The latest data from Counterpoint Research reveals as much, with the likes of OPPO and OnePlus netting huge gains in the premium category.

Emporio Armani Connected 2018 is the fashion brand’s new and improved Wear OS smartwatch

Fashion brand Emporio Armani is spearheading Wear OS efforts this summer with a refreshed model of its original Connected smartwatch.

The 2018 model brings some notable upgrades to the table including a heart rate sensor, GPS and NFC technology to use for Google Pay. Huawei is the only Chinese company in Forbes’ 2018 Most Valuable Brands

The company’s valued at $ 8.4 billion.

Phones like the Mate 10 and P20 Pro have made 2018 an awesome year for Huawei so far, and all of that hard work appears to have paid off. The company recently announced that it was placed in Forbes’ Most Valuable Brands for the second year in the row and is the only Chinese company on the list for 2018.

Xiaomi’s cross-licensing deal with Nokia sees both brands collaborating on VR and AI

Xiaomi enters into a landmark cross-licensing deal with Nokia.

Xiaomi signed a broad cross-licensing deal with Microsoft last year, and the Chinese manufacturer is now inking a similar agreement with Nokia. The deal will see both companies cross-licensing each other’s cellular standard essential patents, with Xiaomi also picking up an unspecified number of patents from Nokia.

Sprint dials up LG Tribute 2 and LG Tribute Duo for prepaid brands
