Leaked photo shows Motorola Shamu breaching for the camera as next Nexus

After yesterday’s render that suggests that the next generation Nexus, which may or may not be known as either the Nexus 6 or Nexus X, would sport a design aesthetic similar to Motorola Mobility’s Moto X smartphone, we now have the first leaked photo. Today’s image confirms that, and the code named Moto Shamu phone is shown with its oversized footprint, aping even the 5.5-inch LG G3 next to it.

Teaser video sure makes it look like HTC’s making some kind of camera

Rumors that HTC is unleashing some sort of GoPro-esque camera at a New York City event next month may be on the level if this teaser video is any indication.

“Something remarkable is coming,” the video starts out.

The video description says to hit up RECamera.com (not currently live) on Oct. 8 “for the word premiere of a remarkable new product.” The video clearly shows underwater footage and what probably is someone wearing the camera somehow.

HTC Gallery adds new Duo Camera effects for HTC One M8 and Butterfly 2

HTC has issued a small update for its HTC Gallery app on Google Play, adding some new features specifically for owners of the HTC One M8 and HTC Butterfly 2 smartphones.

New Moto X TV commercials show off its camera and voice commands

Motorola has started pre-orders for the new version of the Moto X, and it’s also kicked off its promotion campaign for the smartphone with a new series of TV commercials.

HTC reported to be working on its own camera to tackle the sturdy GoPro

HTC is working on its first camera that’s not inside a smartphone, according to a report over on Bloomberg. It’s said the smartphone maker plans to go up against the likes of GoPro and launch a new sturdy shooter for extreme activities. This waterpoof camera would sport an ultra wide-angle lens and a 16 megapixel sensor, connecting to Android smartphones as well as supported iPhones.

Leaked Sony QX1 pictures show off next-gen Android-friendly camera

Credible-looking shots of the successor to Sony’s QX10 and QX100 Android-friendly cameras have leaked out. The source claims the ILCE-QX1 camera will cost 300 euros for the body alone and 450 euros to get it with the 16 – 50 mm lens. It’ll include a built-in flash and uses a special e-mount system.

Samsung again rumored to be working on ‘Side Touch’ camera controls, this time for the Galaxy Note 4

Samsung is again rumored to be bringing so-called ‘Side Touch’ camera controls to the market, though this time the rumor mill is pointing at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The phone, which we’re expecting to see next month at IFA 2014 has been the focus of much speculation and rumor mongering over the past few months, making it hard to pin down what exactly to expect.
