The months of rumors around what Samsung might do with a glut of unused Galaxy Note 7s following last year’s recall have today culminated in the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition. Effectively a Note 7 with a smaller 3,200mAh battery, the Note 7 FE will go on sale in South Korea on July 7 for 699,600 won, which is around $ 611 U.S.

Upcoming Pokémon Go update will make it easier to catch rare Pokémon

Niantic is rolling out an update to Pokémon Go that should make it easier to track down rare Pokémon. With the update, trainers will receive a bonus when they catch enough Pokémon of a certain type. For instance, if you collect 50 water-type Pokémon, you’ll get a Swimmer medal with a “catch bonus” that improves the chances of finding rare Pokémon.

Pokémon Go master getting free global trip to catch ’em all

Nick Johnson, the first person to catch all 142 known Pokémon in America in Pokémon Go, is getting a free trip around the world to complete his collection. The trip, sponsored by Expedia and Marriott Rewards, will see Johnson head to locations such as Paris, Sydney, and Hong Kong.
