These are three of the cities where AT&T’s 5G network will launch in 2018

Everything’s faster in Texas.

In early January, AT&T announced plans for launching a legit 5G network in twelve different markets by the end of 2018. The carrier remained tight-lipped at the time about which markets would be graced with this early access, but now we have the names of three of those twelve.

AT&T reveals its first three mobile 5G cities

Mobile 5G is coming this year, and now we know the first cities that’ll get it.

AT&T says that Dallas, Texas; Waco, Texas; and Atlanta, Georgia will be among the first cities to get its mobile 5G service. AT&T plans to launch 5G in a dozen cities by the end of 2018, and it’ll reveal more of those cities in the coming months.

These are the 20 cities where Amazon’s next HQ could be located

Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and NYC are among the contenders.

After taking over most of Seattle, Amazon announced plans in early September last year for building a second headquarters that’s being referred to as HQ2. Although a final location has still yet to be determined, we’re now one step closer to this with Amazon’s shortlist of 20 potential candidates.

Snapchat users in 10 cities can add special ‘Geostickers” to their photos or chats

Snapchat has added a new feature called “Geostickers”, allowing users who are located in 10 specific cities to add location-based stickers to their photos or in chats.

Uber begins Scheduled Rides rollout in Seattle, more cities coming soon

Uber has started rolling out its new Scheduled Rides feature, starting in Seattle, for its business customers. It will allow those users to schedule a pickup date from the shared ride service from 30 minutes to 30 days in advance.

PlayStation Vue Internet TV service expands to over 200 cities in U.S.

Sony’s PlayStation Vue Internet TV service has only been available in a few cities in the US since it launched in 2015, but now the company has expanded the service to over 200 more U.S. cities. The service is accessible via Amazon’s Fire TV devices and also supports Google’s Chromecast on compatible IOS devices.

Subscribers in those cities will have access to three different subscription tiers:

Google Fiber bringing free gigabit internet to public housing in select cities

Google has announced that it will be bringing its gigabit Fiber internet service to residents of public housing in all cities where Google Fiber is offered at no extra cost. Working with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, along with local partners, Google will start the rollout in Kansas City, Missouri, its first Fiber city.

Uber reportedly will launch food delivery app and service in 10 U.S. cities in March

Uber is reportedly making big plans to expand its company from ride-sharing to food delivery. A new report claims that Uber will launch its UberEats app and food delivery service sometime in late March in 10 U.S. cities.

The UberEats app will be the first stand-alone app for Uber since it launched its ride-share app. The Wall Street Journal reports that UberEats has been in testing in Toronto for the past month:
