Nintendo refutes Android claim

Nintendo has put an end to the rumors circulating about plans to use Android as the OS for its upcoming console, the “NX,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

In responding to a Japanese report that claimed it cited insiders at the company, a spokesperson stated, “There is no truth to the report saying that we are planning to adopt Android for NX.”

EU court rules that Skype’s name is too similar to Sky network to claim a trademark

A European Union court has ruled that the name of Microsoft’s Skype VoIP service cannot claim a trademark in the EU. The court ruled that the name was too similar to the Sky broadcast network.

Sky first filed a trademark dispute with Skype before it was acquired by Microsoft in 2011.
