AOC USB-C external monitor review: A Chromebook’s best companion

Two screens are better than one.

A majority of the writing I do for Mobile Nations happens at home. I have a gigantic monitor that lets me comfortably split two windows so I can have the text I’m writing on the left side of the screen and reference material on the right. Most people use dual monitors for the same thing.

After reviewing countless portable power banks and charging solutions over the years, there are a few features I’ve come to appreciate. If anything, there are certain details I look for first when making a purchasing decision or recommendation. I’ve spent time with a number of products from the myCharge brands over the last couple of years, […]

Lumsing 15000mAh Glory P1 Plus: The perfect traveling companion (review)

It seems like every recent smartphone has a beautiful display. These high resolution displays come at a cost to your battery life. The average consumer spends a considerable amount of time on their cell phones and manufacturers do not seem to be focusing on improving battery life. I don’t know how many times I’ve sat

The Pixel XL is a near-perfect travel companion

I took Google’s new phone away for a couple of weeks. Here’s what I found out.

Using a new gadget while going about your everyday life will give you a pretty good idea of how well it works. That’s how we review phones most of the time. But nothing tests a device like travel — when you really want to push a smartphone to its limits, take it on the road. (Or more accurately, to the  [Read More…]

With the success of Amazon’s Echo, and subsequently the Echo Dot and Amazon Tap, leading to an estimated three million sales and endless amounts of data collected, this seems like a logical step for Google. Google is already in the home hardware business with their

UE ROLL is an great speaker with an excellent companion app

Most of us love music (if you don’t, I’m very sorry for you). Tastes may vary, but we all like a good tune every now and then. When we want to listen to music at home or on the go, it’s important to be able to do it on a good speaker and unless you’re rocking an HTC One M series phone, Moto X, or Nexus 6P, you’re probably looking for something better than the speakers on your phone.

Nyko Cygnus Bluetooth Controller review: A great companion for your Android gaming needs

I don’t know about you, but I’m not generally a fan of gaming on a touchscreen. Like many gamers out there, my gaming roots are based on using a controller. The touchscreen is fine if it’s a strategy or puzzle type of game, but fuller 3D games (first-person shooters or racing games) are just not ideal to me without a controller.

Nyko is such brand that makes accessories to up your experience on just about any gaming device (even the Nvidia Shield). It  [Read More…]
