Google Keep now creates automatic topics for searching through notes

Google Keep has received a small but useful update that makes it easier to organize your notes by topic. The app now automatically generates topics for your notes, such as food, books, or travel. So Keep might put a to-do list with the word ‘trip’ in it under the ‘travel’ section, or a recipe under ‘food’.

Facebook’s new Riff app creates a chain of videos centered on a specific topic

Facebook has launched a new stand-alone app called Riff, which allows a string of videos to be made and connected together that are based on a specific subject.

Riff started as a side project by an app team at Facebook, who wanted to create an easy way for anyone to collaborate on videos.

Oppo creates ColorOS 2.0 for Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Oppo is updating its Android-based user interface, ColorOS, to version 2.0 with a whole host of visual changes and performance enhancements. Oppo has been known for offering their phones with the choice of running either stock Android or its own ColorOS, which is an extensive UI based off of Android. Version 1.0 wasn’t the most beautiful software to use, nor was it particularly intuitive. ColorOS 2.0 looks to improve on that.

Google creates new free replacement program for damaged Nexus 5 phones

If you accidentally damaged your Nexus 5 smartphone, you can get it replaced for free thanks to Google’s new Nexus 5 replacement program, which is similar to what rivals HTC and Motorola are offering. The program went live without any announcement or much fanfare, though devoted Nexus 5 owners have confirmed on a Google+ posting in the Nexus 5 community page.
