Red Hydrogen One phone official release delayed with early access for developers

Some bad news good news here for all you Red fans hoping to try out their Hydrogen One phone with the holographic display. The bad news is, it won’t be as soon as you had hoped because of more delays. The good news is the Red Hydrogen One has an official release date of October 9th for pre-orders and November 2nd for carrier models.

Sorry, Galaxy S8 users: Bixby voice assistant remains delayed

The Wall Street Journal reports we won’t see it until “at least late June.”

There are so many features the Samsung Galaxy S8 has going for it; it’s almost bezel-less, it has the best display on the market, and it’s a wondrous performer. But one thing it does not have going for it is its own virtual assistant. It’s been two months since the launch of Samsung’s big phone release and there’s still no Bixby in sight.

BlackBerry KEYone has been delayed until May

Don’t panic, but the KEYone isn’t shipping in April.

HTC 10 update delayed yet again for mainland Europe

European HTC 10 owners are still waiting on their update to Nougat.

While HTC 10 owners in the USA have been enjoying the Nougat update for more than a month now, it’s a different tune for those living in mainland Europe who are still awaiting their OTA update to the latest Android software.

Galaxy Note 7 shipments delayed as Samsung conducts additional quality tests

Last week, reports emerged of a Galaxy Note 7 exploding while charging, and we’re seeing another reported instance today. It is likely that the phones were using third-party microUSB to USB Type-C cables, but Samsung is now taking a look at the situation to ensure customers aren’t in harm’s way. The South Korean company is delaying shipments of the Note 7 to conduct additional tests on the phone.

Pokémon Go launch in France delayed due to Nice attack

Niantic has confirmed that its augmented reality game Pokémon GO will have its launch in France delayed out of respect to the victims of the attack in its city in Nice last week.

While the highly popular game officially launched in 26 more countries today as part of a big European rollout, France was not among them. IGN France got a (translated) statement from Niantic on the decision to delay the launch in that country:

Marshmallow updates for the AT&T HTC One M8 and M9 get delayed

HTC M8 and HTC M9 owners on AT&T will have to wait a bit longer to get their promised software update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

HTC’s Mo Versi posted the news on the delay via his Twitter account:

HTC One M8 & M9 AT&T owners – there’s been a slight delay on M OS. We’re in lab but looking at approval within the next couple weeks.
