Instagram now lets you buy items directly from Stories

Instagram has taken yet another step towards becoming a shopping app. The Facebook-owned company announced it will now allow users to shop directly from Stories.

Up until now, Instagram only let users to shop via their feeds. But with the Shopping feature available in Stories, folks will be able to purchase the desired items via Stories, thus eliminating the extra step of heading to another website.

You can now book an Uber or Ola directly from Google search results in India

Google Maps picked up integration for ride-hailing services earlier this year, allowing customers to see fare estimates and pickup times for Uber, myTaxi, Ola, Gett, and other services from within the Maps interface.

The company is now rolling out the feature to its search results. Just enter your intended destination in the Google Search app or in Chrome, and you’ll see fare estimates and pickup times for ride services within the search results.

Unlocked AT&T BlackBerry Priv will now have updates handled directly by BlackBerry

A changing of the guard — for the better.

Good news for folks who bought an unlocked AT&T branded BlackBerry Priv: updates for your phone will now be handled by BlackBerry directly and bypass any AT&T slow lane silliness.

As CrackBerry reports, this new policy starts today (October 17, 2016) and will be in place for an imminent update headed to unlocked Priv phones.

Goodbye productivity.

You can now play solitaire or tic-tac-toe directly in Google’s search results. Just search for solitaire or tic-tac-toe in the search engine on the web or from your phone, and you’ll get a playable version of either game above the search results.

Google’s take on solitaire is fairly basic, but you do get the option of selecting between easy and hard difficulty levels.

Prisma update lets you save photos directly

Google starts showing song lyrics directly in search results

Google has teamed up with LyricFind to display song lyrics directly in its search results. The Toronto-based company signed a multi-year licensing deal with Google, allowing the search giant to offer song lyrics in the U.S. and international markets.

Speaking to Billboard, LyricFind CEO Darryl Ballantyne talked about how the deal would create an additional revenue model for musicians and songwriters:
