Lenovo ditches Vibe Pure UI, will ship stock Android on all future phones

Lenovo is sticking to stock Android, starting with the K8 Note.

Motorola’s focus on an uncluttered software experience allowed its phones to stand out, and its parent company Lenovo is following suit. The company has confirmed that it is abandoning its Vibe Pure UI skin in favor of stock Android, with the upcoming K8 Note the first phone to ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Honor 8 Lite ditches the dual rear camera, comes with Nougat out of the box

The Huawei P8 Lite 2017 is being sold as the Honor 8 Lite in Finland.

The Honor 8 Lite is now official in Finland. The phone is currently up for pre-order in the country for €269 ($ 290), with deliveries slated to kick off from February 17.

AT&T ditches monthly overages for reduced data speeds

AT&T has announced that the carrier will be ending overage charges in favor of reduced data speeds once you’ve used your allotment. The carrier will offer plans ranging from 1GB to 200GB of high-speed data so you can pick the correct amount for what you use. Some customers will actually get more data in their allotment under the new plans without paying any more money. Domino’s ditches T-Mobile Tuesdays after getting hit with too many free pizza orders

Domino’s has decided to “indefinitely” postpone any future participation in the T-Mobile Tuesdays rewards program after getting hit with way too many free pizza orders earlier this week from customers of the wireless carrier.

Instagram is testing a new design that ditches color to help your photos pop

Instagram is testing a new design for its Android app, one that ditches the familiar blue for a simpler, white design. In fact, white is the dominant color across the board in this test version of the app, from the feed to the camera.

Project Fi ditches invites in the U.S., offers Nexus 5X for $199 with signup

Google is now expanding the reach of its Project Fi pre-paid carrier service. Previously, the service was only available to access by those who received an invite, but that is no longer required.
