Galaxy S7, S7 edge pick up minor update in India

Following the touchscreen and camera fix update, Samsung is rolling out a minor update to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in India. Coming in at just 1MB, the update includes bug fixes and stability improvements.

Sprint pushes Marshmallow to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and S5 Sport

Sprint has started pushing out a pair of new Marshmallow updates, this time bringing Android 6.0 to the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy S5 Sport.

For Note Edge users, Sprint notes that the latest OTA update will also include a bump up to the latest security patches from Samsung and Google, as well as miscellaneous bug fixes. The Galaxy S5 Sport update, on the other hand, simply moves the handset up to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

AT&T rolling out April security patch to Galaxy S7, S7 edge

AT&T Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users are seeing an update that brings the April security patch. The update comes in at 173MB, and includes the latest security fixes from Google.

Not much else is known about what’s new, but from the discussion in our forums, it looks like the update includes the touchscreen and stability fixes that have been rolling out to the S7 and S7 edge globally.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are now available in a “Pink Gold” color variant in South Korea.

Samsung says it went with the color scheme as it incorporates a touch of gentleness:

Marshmallow rolls out to the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+

If you’re rocking a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ on T-Mobile, you’ll want to check for an update, as the carrier is now pushing Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to the curved smartphone. Of course, once updated, your T-Mobile Galaxy S6 edge+ will have access to all of Marshmallow’s goodies, including Doze Mode, granular app permissions and more.

Samsung’s crazy Good Lock UI is now available for Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note 5

Samsung’s brightly-colored Good Lock user interface made its debut on the Galaxy S7 last month, and the manufacturer is now making the UI available on last year’s flagships as well. The Good Lock app is now available for download on the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 Active and Galaxy Note 5.
