Sprint plans to ‘Take the edge off’ in August

Your guess is as good as ours as to what this is, but Sprint plans to “Take the edge off” at an event Aug. 16 in New York City. That the “edge” is bolded possibly points to more network news, but new devices are certainly possible as well. The image we’ve received has “Ranger” in the name, which could mean everything. Or nothing.

Galaxy Nexus ‘volume bug’ on EDGE networks captured on video

HTC Edge could launch as early as April, may not be first Tegra 3 handset to market

New details about the HTC Edge have surfaced, indicating that HTC’s first quad-core powered phone may launch in April or May of 2012. The new release timeframe falls in line with HTC’s typical spring product cycle for handsets which make their debut at Mobile World Congress in February.

Remember those rumors that Qualcomm was losing their grip on HTC and we might see future phones with NVIDIA processors? According to the latest leak from Evan Blass of PocketNow, HTC is working on a new handset called the Edge, which could be the world’s first Android phone to feature the quad-core Tegra 3 processor.
