Flixster update adds bug fixes and support for Google TV 2.0

Flixster, a social movie site which allows users to share movie ratings, discover new movies, and meet others with similar taste in movies has sent out an interesting update. The new update brings fixed intermittent crash bug relate to dialog, some added support for UltraViolet Digital Copy movie streaming, and added support for Google TV 2.0 (yes, you heard correct).

Google Maps updated to support NFC-powered Beam feature

During the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich demo we got to see another use for NFC. Google music store launching soon – with a twist


Almost a week ago now, on October 13, the New York Times reported that Google was finishing up talks with record labels in final preparation for the launch of their music store. Today, at Asia D, Google’s Andy Rubin confirmed this.

Google Wallet counts NJ Transit as its first transportation partner

The New Jersey Transit Corporation has announced that it will begin accepting Google Wallet for payments at select locations. Rather than have mass transit riders rely strictly on cash and credit cards, NJ Transit vending machines and ticket windows will add Wallet as a payment option.

Google I/O 2012 dates announced; who’s going?


It may be a bit early to start talking about this. And with all the Ice Cream Sandwich and Nexus hype, many of you probably don’t want to worry about it yet. Nevertheless, Google has announced the dates for the 2012 Google I/O. The event will be held in San Francisco and is scheduled for April 24-25.
