Meizu 16s launches as high-end hardware with mid-range price tag

Meizu, the Chinese hardware manufacturer who sits just outside of the top ten global smartphone makers, has just announced its newest device, the 16s. Arriving on the 16th anniversary of the brand, the phone delivers upper-tier hardware with a wallet-friendly price.

YouTube is canceling its high-end original programming

Shifting the focus back to free content.

When YouTube Red debuted in 2015, one of the big pushes of the program was premium, original content to compete with the likes of Netflix and Hulu. According to a new report from Bloomberg, YouTube’s now shifting its focus away from that strategy.

OnePlus ranked as a top 5 high-end U.S. smartphone brand in Q4 2018

Looks like that T-Mobile partnership went pretty well.

The high-end U.S. smartphone market is incredibly tough to break into, but OnePlus apparently managed to do just that last year. According to a report from research analyst IDC, OnePlus was one of the top five high-end smartphone brands in the United States during Q4 2018.

Sonos is reportedly creating a pair of high-end headphones

But they probably won’t be ready until 2020.

Since it was founded in 2002, Sonos has been focused on creating high-end, easy-to-use audio products for the home. As we’ve seen over the years, this has included things like smart speakers, soundbars, subwoofers, and more. Now, according to a report from Bloomberg, Sonos is in the process of creating its first gadget that can be used anywhere.
