Don’t let a heavy backpack keep dragging you down.

It’s probably fair to say that with how much time we collectively spend sitting behind computer screens and staring down at our phones during the day, we should all be a bit more conscious of improving our posture.

Backpacks are a great way to organize and carry all the important equipment you need, whether you’re a college student, photographer, or outdoors enthusiast — but even the best-designed backpacks  [Read More…]

The Google Play Store is home to millions of mobile games, and while a lot of them are truly excellent, there are also quite a few that aren’t even worth the time of day. To help you better decide which games are downloading and which aren’t, Google is launching Play Instant on the Play Store.

How to use Instant Apps on your Android device

You have probably heard of the term “Android Instant Apps“, but you might not be exactly sure what it means.  Introduced back at Google’s I/O 2016 developer conference, Instant Apps represent the next step in app evolution. How to enable and use Instant Apps on Android

Instant Apps make it easier to get things done on Android without downloading apps. Here’s how.

Instant Apps are a neat idea: instead of downloading an app from the Play Store that takes time, resources and, in many countries, expensive mobile data, it allows Android users running Marshmallow and above (and soon Lollipop, too) to “try before you buy.” Since rolling out to all developers earlier this year, Google says that 500 million Android devices have access  [Read More…]

Instant Apps now available on 500 million Android devices.

Instant Apps are a way for developers to provide a lightweight, modularized portion of their full app experience when a user opens specific search results. The user has to enable Instant Apps in the Settings menu before the feature will work, however. Announced at Google I/O 2016, the feature was made available to all developers after this year’s I/O.

Android Police reports the feature is now available to  [Read More…]

Back in May, Google opened up Instant Apps for all developers. Instant Apps, which were introduced during last year’s Google I/O 2017, allow people to use apps on their Android devices without installation. They’re basically smaller subsets of your app that allow single pages or features of the app to be downloaded and accessed on […]

Amazon Launches Instant Pickup Service

Amazon launches Instant Pickup service to compete with convenience stores.

Having spent the last few days moving into a new apartment, I’ve made about twenty or so trips to local stores to get the one last thing I think I’ll need. Whether it has been hand soap, various ingredients for different recipes, or more of those 3M Command hooks than I thought possible, I’ve spent a lot of time in different store aisles.

Amazon launched a service  [Read More…]

Google Instant Search is dead

Google wants search to be consistent across all devices, and that means killing off Instant Search after seven years.

First launched just way back in 2010, Google Instant Search was supposed to be the future of search, saving countless precious seconds each day by loading results dynamically as you typed, freeing users from the chains of the enter key. The feature was big news at the time — and not just in the tech world, but the  [Read More…]
