Samsung Galaxy A8 now available for pre-order in South Korea

You can now pre-order Samsung’s exciting mid-ranger.

The past couple years have seen a lot of excellent mid-range Android handsets, but one that caught our attention for 2018 when it was announced in late December is the Samsung Galaxy A8. Samsung previously announced that the A8 would be launching in Vietnam on January 6, and now the phone is officially available for pre-order in South Korea.

Stable Oreo update now rolling out to the LG V30 in South Korea

LG V30 starts receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

LG has been beta testing the Oreo update for the LG V30 in its home market for nearly a month, and the company is now rolling out the stable build. Like the beta update, the stable Oreo build is initially rolling out to V30 users in South Korea.

LG G6+ with 6GB RAM,128GB storage, and new color options is going on sale in Korea early next month.

Samsung rolled out a variant of the Galaxy S8 with 6GB of RAM in its home market earlier this year, and LG is now following suit with the G6+. The phone is an upgraded variant of the LG G6 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, and will be going up for sale in South Korea early next month.

Refurbished Galaxy Note 7 could go on sale in South Korea in June

Refurbished Note 7 will be $ 250 more affordable than the original.

LG G6 reportedly enjoys strong early sales in Korea

30,000 units sold in launch weekend, according to Korean press.

Western consumers may have to wait another few weeks to get their hands on the LG G6, but the new phone is already on sale in LG’s home market of South Korea — and, according to report from the local press, doing rather well.

ZTE guilty of violating U.S. sanctions, will pay $892 million for shipping goods to Iran and North Korea

A massive settlement in the U.S. follows years of wrongdoing.

ZTE has plead guilty to allegations that it violated U.S. laws relating to its involvement in the transfer of U.S. telecom equipment to both Iran and North Korea, as well as lying to federal investigators by insisting that such shipments had stopped.
