74% of the world’s population is now supported by Gboard.

Gboard has been my go-to Android keyboard of choice for well over a year now, and a lot more people will now be able to take advantage of its many features thanks to new language support.

Bixby voice arrives on Korean Galaxy S8 today

Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners in Samsung’s home market are the first to get a fully baked Bixby experience.

Bixby, Samsung’s new AI service on the Galaxy S8, was missing its most important feature at launch. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 Korean teaser hints at a world of possibilities

Samsung starts hyping up the Galaxy S8 ahead of its official unveil on March 29.

Samsung has released a 15-second trailer for the Galaxy S8 in South Korea, showcasing little of the phone itself, a refreshing change in pace from the litany of leaks, rumors, and renders we’ve seen of the device in recent weeks.

Korean media says LG G6 will launch on March 10, Galaxy S8 debuting globally April 21

We now have launch dates for this year’s biggest flagships.

A report out of Korea’s ET News suggests Samsung and LG have finalized the launch dates for their upcoming flagships. Samsung heir could be put behind bars in South Korean bribery scandal

The heir to Samsung’s empire is embroiled in a bribery scandal.

South Korea’s prosecutor is seeking a warrant to arrest Samsung Group’s Jay Y. Lee over bribery and embezzlement allegations. The 48-year-old executive is poised to take over control of Samsung’s business empire from his father, Lee Kun-hee. Jay Y. Lee is accused of bribing Choi Soon-sil, an aide to South Korean president Park Geun-hye, in order to secure political backing for the $ 8 billion merger  [Read More…]

Samsung’s Note 7 upgrade program lets Korean customers buy the Galaxy S8 or Note 8 for 50% off

Samsung is rolling out an upgrade program to South Korean Note 7 customers that have traded in their Note 7 handsets for an S7 or S7 edge. Customers joining the Galaxy Upgrade program will have to sign a two-year contract and pay monthly instalments on their current device (the S7 or S7 edge) for 12 months, after which they’ll be able to upgrade to the Galaxy S8 or Note 8 for free.

Galaxy Note 7 teased again in crazy new Korean ad

Teasers of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 7 have been flying around, and as we get closer to the August 2 event in NYC, they continue to pop up. The latest is a rather interesting and slightly crazy ad from Korea. It starts off with some teaser shots of a close up phone screen, and ends with a numbered sequence of 1 through 5 and then a question mark.

LG announces Stylus 2 launch plans for Korean market

LG has announced its launch plans for the LG Stylus 2 for the Korean market. As the followup to 2015’s G4 Stylus, the Stylus 2 will be available from Korean carriers in the coming weeks for a price of 396,000 Korean Won (around $ 330). As far as colors are concerned, it looks like customers will have a choice between titanium, brown or white.
