Job listing confirms Google Home with display is in the works

Google’s looking for a “touch sensor hardware engineer.”

Google’s Home series already has a little something for everybody, ranging from the insta-buy Home Mini all the way up to the audiophile’s dream that is the Home Max. Google’s been catching up quite well to Amazon’s Echo hardware, but one thing that’s still noticeably missing is a Google Home speaker with a display. More photos of Google Home Mini and Pixel 2 XL revealed in Walmart listing

Thanks to a slipup at Walmart, we’ve got a heap of new Google Home Mini photos and a new angle on the Pixel 2 XL.

Motorola Affinity spotted in import listing, may turn out to be the Moto E 2016

Indian import export website Zauba shows that Motorola has imported a phone into the country with the codename Affinity. The screen size is listed as 5 inches, and the retail value at ₹5,164 ($ 78) suggests this may well be the Moto E 2016.

With the Moto G4 rumored to sport a 5.5-inch display, it is possible Motorola is considering a bump in the screen size for its entry-level offering from 4.5 inches to 5 inches.  [Read More…]

Import listing hints at Moto X3 with 5-inch display

Indian import export website Zauba has listed a device with the Moto X3 moniker making its way to the country. The listing shows that eight units in total were imported into the country from the U.S., likely headed for software testing and validation at Motorola’s R&D facility in India. There’s no mention of specs, but the phone is listed with a 5-inch display and single-SIM connectivity.

LG G5 case listing gives us another look at dual cameras, fingerprint sensor

As we draw closer to its official unveiling, the LG G5 has once again popped into sight courtesy of a case listing on eBay. While we’ve seen more detailed looks at the phone itself, this case listing from Spigen further corroborates prior leaks.

LG G5 case listing shows a fingerprint sensor on the rear, power and volume buttons on the side

According to a new accessory listing, the LG G5 may move the power and volume buttons from the back of the phone to the side of it. A case listing on Mobile Fun seems to indicate that the rear of the phone will have just a fingerprint sensor unlike the LG G4 and V10, which had all the buttons on the rear. Possible Moto G (2015) specs revealed in product listing

Ahead of Motorola’s July 28 event, where we’re expected to get a look at some upcoming smartphones, Swiss retailer Digitec has posted a store listing for the third-generation Moto G, giving us a peek at what we may see from Motorola next week.

Galaxy S6 Active appears in Samsung Plus program listing

Samsung has seemingly confirmed the Galaxy S6 Active indeed exists through a listing on the Samsung Plus program page.

While we’ve already seen leaked photos and reported specs for an upcoming Galaxy S6 Active device, more fuel has been added to the fire today with a listing for the device spotted on the Samsung Plus program page.

Android M briefly appears in Google I/O agenda listing

Ah, so there was one little nugget (since removed) in the Google I/O agenda after all. Unsurprising to anyone who’s able to flip a coin is that it appears we’ll get an announcement of the “M” version of Android. As to what might come along with it, well, we’ll just have to see.

Bose job listing could result in Google Play Music rival

The subscription music streaming space is about to become even more crowded. It appears that audio equipment-maker Bose may be headed into the space that’s dominated at this time by Google Play Music, Spotify, Pandora, and Apple’s Beats Music with its own streaming service as the company is now looking to hire an engineer to help make that happen.
