Huawei Mate 20 Review

Huawei is a company on the periphery for most people. They’ve heard about the company but don’t really know who they are. The vast majority of people I talked to about Huawei only know about them from the recent headlines of corporate spying and the Trump administration’s push to ban them from the US telecom industry.

But what gets lost in the shuffle is that Huawei makes damn good phones. The Mate 10 Pro was one of my favorite phones  [Read More…]

Huawei’s Mate X is the foldable phone we’ve been waiting for

Let the battle of the foldable phones begin. Samsung struck first with its Galaxy Fold model for MWC 2019 but Huawei’s Mate X makes it look like a prototype. Utilizing a flexible OLED screen and what Huawei has dubbed the Falcon Wing Mechanical Hinge Huawei has given us the best looking foldable phone yet.

Huawei Mate X first look: Three screen modes, four cameras, five Gs

First impressions of Huawei’s new foldable are positive — but there’s a lot we don’t yet know

Mobile World Congress 2019 is obsessively fixated on two major trends: 5G and foldable phones. So it stands to reason that Huawei’s first entrant into both categories should debut at the Barcelona-based trade show.

This is the Huawei Mate X. It’s super-thin, (supposedly) super-fast, and quite unlike any of the handful of foldables we’ve seen so far. The basic design  [Read More…]

Should you import the Huawei Mate 20 Pro to the U.S.?

Best answer: There are several reasons to buy the Mate 20 Pro over the Note 9 or the Pixel 3. The phone is powered by a 7nm Kirin 980 chipset that isn’t likely to be available on a Samsung phone until the end of Q1 2019, and the camera has a host of features that allow it to stand out. Then there’s the two-day battery life, gorgeous QHD+ AMOLED display, and exquisite design.
