Microsoft Edge browser is coming to Android soon

Using Windows 10 with an Android is about to get a lot easier, as Microsoft is bringing its Edge web browser to those phones starting today.

In a surprise announcement, Microsoft said its Edge web browser is now available for iPhones, with a release for Android “in the coming weeks.”

The initial rollout for the browser will be limited to those in the U.S. but should expand to other markets over time. Currently, the browser is in preview only  [Read More…]

Microsoft announces Office 2019, teases new features

As part of its Ignite conference today, Microsoft officially teased the next perpetual Office update, Office 2019.

Microsoft has announced Office 2019, the next perpetual Office update and the follow-up to the most recent release, Office 2016. Due for release in the second half of 2018, Microsoft says that preview versions of the latest Office suite will start rolling out in mid-2018, though it’s unclear when exactly an Android version might be released.

Amazon teams up with Microsoft to integrate Alexa with Cortana

Alexa will be able to communicate with Cortana, and vice versa.

Amazon and Microsoft are teaming up to integrate their digital assistants. You’ll soon be able to talk to Cortana by saying, “Alexa, open Cortana” from an Alexa-powered device like the Echo, and vice versa.

Microsoft working on Windows Dev Center app for Android

Windows developers will soon be able to manage and monitor their apps on Android.

Microsoft is currently working on a dedicated Windows Dev Center app for Android. Spotted by Android Police (via MSPU), the app is currently available on the Google Play Store as an early alpha version marked with an (Unreleased) tag.
