Facebook says nearly 50 million accounts impacted by security breach

Facebook has reset access tokens for around 90 million people in response to the breach.

Facebook today revealed that more nearly 50 million accounts have been affected by a “security issue.” Discovered by Facebook’s engineering team on September 25, the issue allowed attackers to take over people’s accounts by stealing Facebook access tokens.

Every 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation Pro 4 will be unique

One of a kind.

Today, Sony said it has officially sold more than 525 million PlayStation systems including everything from PlayStation VR to the PlayStation Vita. To celebrate that accomplishment, Sony is releasing a limited edition 500 Million PlayStation 4 Pro gaming console. When it says limited, it means it. Timehop security breach leaked names, email addresses of 21 million users

Some users’ phone numbers were also exposed.

Timehop, the app that lets you link your social media accounts to it and see what you posted/shared years ago, recently confirmed that it had a security breach on July 4, 2018, that exposed the names, email addresses, and phone numbers for its 21 million users.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 series crosses 5 million sales in four months

The Redmi Note 5 series becomes Xiaomi’s best-selling lineup to date.

Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro have cumulatively amassed over 5 million in sales. Both phones made their debut back in February, and the Redmi Note 5 Pro in particular continues to sell out within minutes during weekly flash sales.

Google’s investing $550 million into Chinese shopping site JD.com

This is part of a new “strategic partnership” Google’s starting with JD.

Similar to how Amazon is the go-to online retailer in the United States, JD.com is China’s second-largest website for buying everything from smartphones to soda. On June 18, Google announced that it’s partnering with JD.com and plans to invest $ 550 million in the company.

Apple wins $539 million in damages from Samsung in design patent infringement retrial

In what feels like a never-ending technology patent spat, Apple has just been awarded a hefty amount of damages from Samsung related to design patent infringement.
