MediaTek mobile processors: What’s the difference between ’em?

If you’ve got an Android smartphone – and let’s be honest, since you’re reading this you probably do – you’ve heard of Qualcomm and its Snapdragon processors.

Snapdragon is typically known as the processor of choice for Android smartphones, whether its in a high-end Samsung flagship or an entry-level, T-Mobile-branded ZTE device.

Alas, Qualcomm isn’t the only name in the processor game; the China-based MediaTek is its biggest competitor, especially in countries that aren’t the U.S.

Gears Pop! will take fun-sized Gears of War action mobile

Gears of War is going mobile with a Funko Pop twist.

Gears of War 5 drew all of the attention from fans of the franchise at Microsoft’s E3 2018 presentation, but Microsoft’s also had something a little more fun-sized in mind for mobile phones. Unlimited plans will start out at just $ 15/month.

T-Mobile and Sprint made headlines in late April after announcing that the new companies were merging together as “The New T-Mobile”, and as a direct response to that, U.S. MVNO FreedomPop is launching a new company called UNREAL Mobile.

The Project Cars series is coming to mobile

The game’s being made by Slightly Mad Studios and Gamevil.

Spotify revamps its mobile app, adds on-demand listening for free users

Free users are also getting recommended playlist creation and a low-data mode.

During a recent event in New York City, Spotify talked about a heap of new goodies that are in the works for its mobile app and free users.
