Motorola’s first foray into the smartwatch space could employ wireless charging and a Sapphire glass face, says G for Games. Whereas everyone else seems to go the route of Gorilla Glass, this one would would separate itself from the pack. As far as the wireless charging is concerned, we’re still betting on something akin to the Qualcomm Toq.

Moto 360 to feature ‘secret’ charging method

During today’s Moto 360 Hangout-on-Air, the subject of charging came up. With no visible USB connection on the 360 body, many smartwatch fans — and potential new smartwatch fans — were wondering just how we will charge the thing.

Turns out it’s a secret for now.

Motorola further details the Moto 360 smartwatch

Motorola just wrapped up its initial hangout based around the Moto 360, an Android Wear-powered smartwatch. If you didn’t have a chance to check it out, you can look for the video on YouTube.

Moto 360 confirmed to work with Android 4.3 and above

Motorola just got done with its Meet Moto 360 hangout and we learned a little more about what makes it tick. In particular, Motorola’s Jim Wicks, confirmed that the Moto 360 will work alongside any Android device that runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and above.

Motorola posts AT&T Moto X Android 4.4.2 changelog, update rolling to devices now

Changelog is sparse, with the same small fixes seen on other variants

Following what appears to be a short-lived and successful soak test, the AT&T Moto X is receiving its Android 4.4.2 update starting today. As it usually does, Motorola has posted the changelog for the update on its support pages, indicating that the update is ready to go out to everyone rather than just testers.

Moto X heading to Australia in the next few weeks

Great news for Australians who are still awaiting the launch of the Moto X since it seems Motorola have decided to release it down under in the next few weeks, a full seven months after the United States, and 2 months after the UK.

Motorola state that customers will be able to purchase either the black or white model for AUD$ 549 and will be able to run it on Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone, with more networks coming online shortly  [Read More…]
