Some Moto X Pure users are having issue with their speakers

In a forum post on Motorola’s forums, many Moto X Pure owners are complaining that they’re having issues with the top speaker on their phone. There doesn’t appear to be any obvious rhyme or reason to the issues that range from crackling at high volumes to audio skipping when the Moto X Pure is turned into landscape.

Moto X 2013 begins receiving Android 5.1 update from Verizon

The Moto X 2013 is now getting its Android 5.1 update from Verizon following a brief soak test. The update brings a number of feature additions to the original Moto X, including a patch for the Stagefright exploit.

Motorola Connect app updated with new watch faces; New Moto Body app appears

Motorola’s accessory customisation app, Motorola Connect, is bringing some cool new features along with a recent update.

You’ll see a big new UI that brings the design in line with other Motorola apps and you’ll see new material design aspects to see connected devices and also add new pairings.

Upon tapping a device, you’ll see the familiar layout of watch location, and the gallery of watchfaces.

If you happen to own the first-gen Moto X from Verizon, you’re in for a treat as Android Lollipop is on its way. The long-awaited update brings material design, added functionality, and the latest OS with a Stagefright fix.

Motorola launches the Moto X Play in India for ₹18,499

Motorola has launched the Moto X Play in India, with the phone set to go on sale starting midnight at Flipkart. The 16GB model will retail for ₹18,499 ($ 278), while the 32GB variant will set you back ₹19,999 ($ 300). It is advisable to get the higher storage model given the lack of a huge difference in cost.

Project Fi unofficially working on Moto X Pure Edition

Project Fi is only officially compatible with the Nexus 6, but interestingly enough, it seems to work well on the new Moto X Pure Edition. The devices are similar enough, being fully unlocked Motorola devices with pure Android, so it was worth a try.

Moto 360 value version scrapped at last minute

Motorola, as we expected this last week, announced two versions of its new Moto 360 smartwatch.
