Google Music Top 10 – Nov. 20, 2011

Top Album Top Songs

Music’s been live for purchase in the Android Market for less than a week, so things no doubt will be a bit skewed — and remember that one of the major labels — Warner Music Group — isn’t selling its artists with Google. But let’s take at what’s on top for the week beginning Nov. 20.

LTE Verizon LTE will be coming soon to a couple new locations — Roanoke, Virginia and Indiana Pennsylvania.  On November 17 they flip the switch in Roanoke, which will bring wireless broadband to downtown, Smith Mountain Lake, Christiansburg, Radford City, Buena Vista City, Lexington City and Rockbridge.  While it’s a fairly large population center by southern Virginia standards (about 300,000 people), it’s a pretty isolated metro area, and blanketing  [Read More...]

Not quite sure exactly what we’re looking at here, but according to the latest version of the internal Sprint Playbook, it’s the Express, it’s running Android 2.3, and it’s coming Nov. 18 via direct shipping. It’ll go for just $ 19.99 after two-year contract and $  [Read More...]

Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet coming Nov. 18 for $249

Fans of the Nook Color were none too pleased when I called it a great e-reader and a so-so tablet. Well, Barnes & Noble has upgraded last year’s “ereader with some tablet features” and announced a proper Android tablet that will be in stores this holiday season.

The Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet is still a heavily-customized version of Android. It also has the  [Read More...]

Verizon launch dates

It’s been a couple dates since the last rumored Galaxy Nexus launch date surfaced. But a couple of things have changed since then. First, we’ve heard through our sources that Verizon’s finally picked a launch date. (Remember that the Nov. 11 memo we saw was a “work in progress.”) Secondly, this one makes a little more sense.

Start with the Droid RAZR Nov. 11 date, which is official. (We’ll overlook the  [Read More...]

HTC has joined Verizon to announce the HTC Rezound, the first U.S. phone with Beats Audio built-into the device.

With its dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 4.3-inch LCD screen, 720p display, and an 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash, the Rezound is an impressive phone. However, that’s not enough to keep people happy in a sea of super phones; access to Verizon 4G LTE network  [Read More...]

AT&T today announced the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, dubbed the Skyrocket. This a device many thought may not make it to the states. The handset packs a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and AT&T 4G LTE speeds that make it faster for Web browsing along with access to your favorite apps.
