Brand new octa-core Exynos chipset leaks through GFXBench

So it seems that Samsung is not going to just stop at making their own chipset for their Galaxy line of smartphones.  A recent GFXBench leak of an upcoming TCL phablet, the TCL P650M specifically, has shown that Samsung is actually providing their Exynos SoC to other phone manufacturers.

HTC One ME now official in China with QHD display, MediaTek octa-core Helio X10 SoC

After launching the One M9+ and the polycarbonate One E9+ in China earlier this year, HTC has announced another high-end device in the country, the One ME.

Oppo unveils U3 phablet with FHD display and octa-core processor

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has recently unveiled its U3 phablet in its home turf. The 5.9-inch phone features a 1080p display panel along with a powerful octa-core processor.

The Oppo U3 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony’s IMX124 sensor and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video-calling. Surprisingly, the handset runs the slightly outdated Android 4.4 KitKat.

Samsung’s ultra-thin Galaxy A7 is official: 5.5-inch 720p display, octa-core CPU and LTE

Samsung has officially launched the third device in the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A7. Targeted at a younger audience, the Galaxy A7 has a metal unibody, 5 MP wide-angle front camera and is just 6.3 mm thick, making it Samsung’s thinnest smartphone to date.

HTC’s first octa-core 64-bit smartphone is on the way

HTC’s next smartphone might surprise us with some high-powered specs. In a post on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, HTC says that they will have the world’s first octa-core 64-bit smartphone. The current HTC flagship, the One M8 (available in both Android and Windows Phone flavors) packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, a 32-bit chip with a measly four cores clocked at 2.3Ghz. An eight-core 64-bit chip? That would be new.
