No wood for OnePlus One as bamboo SwapStyle cover now canceled

OnePlus announced that the company has cancelled production of the bamboo StyleSwap cover for the OnePlus One phone. Originally created to give more flexibility and allow for customization of the affordable handset, similar to what Motorola Mobility offers for the Moto X, the cover proved too challenging to manufacture for OnePlus and the company has canceled its plans to mass produce the bamboo back shell.

OnePlus apparently thinks ladies are dying to get naked for a phone

“Ladies, no nudity please.”

That’s the admonition in its “Ladies First” OnePlus One invite contest, this time targeted for “ladies (and only ladies, sorry guys, ladies first).”

All the ladies have to do is take a picture of themselves with the OnePlus logo visible, post it to the OnePlus forum, and give OnePlus the rights to use that picture however it wants. (That’s pretty standard legal stuff, but still.)
