OnePlus Two allegedly leaks on GeekBench, features Snapdragon 810 and 3GB RAM

The much awaited OnePlus Two has allegedly surfaced on GeekBench benchmark results. If the device listed on GeekBench is actually the successor of the OnePlus One, then its major specifications have been leaked much before its expected launch in the third quarter of 2015.

OnePlus One owners in India can keep receiving Cyanogen over-the-air updates

OnePlus One owners in India now have the option to keep receiving updates to the smartphone if it has the Cyanogen OS installed.

The Indian office of OnePlus announced today that the company’s previous legal issues with Micromax have been resolved, allowing OnePlus One owners in that country to keep getting over-the-air updates to the Cyanogen OS.

OnePlus 2 will ship with Snapdragon 810 processor; come in at $400

As of late, the OnePlus 2 rumor mill has been rather quiet. We know  that the device will come out in Q3 of this year and have a higher price tag. Today, we fount out that the device will come with a Snapdragon 810 processor and come with a $ 400 price tag thanks to CEO Pete Lau and co-founder Carl Pei.

Cyanogen breaks up with OnePlus

One of the biggest factors behind OnePlus One’s astounding success was CyanogenMod, the popular custom ROM that released Android from Google’s strict licensing policies and made the operating system much more customizable.

However, rifts became apparent in their mutually beneficial relationship last year when Cyanogen signed a contract of exclusivity with an Indian electronic firm, Micromax. The contract had the sale of OnePlus devices running the CyanogenMod banned in India. And now Cyanogen has officially parted ways with OnePlus.

Cyanogen OS 12 update for the OnePlus One starts up again, bundles some bug fixes

OnePlus One owners can now once again download the Cyanogen OS 12 update, following a decision to halt the rollout earlier this week.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei claimed they halted the update because they wanted to add the “Ok OnePlus” feature. However, today it looks like the Cyanogen OS 12 update rollout was stopped again to fix some “critical” bugs.
