LG ordered to pay $3.5 million in damages to Core Wireless over patent violations

Core Wireless, a company which holds numerous patents for 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE network technologies, has been awarded $ 3.5 million in damages after a jury found the LG violated two patents owned by the company. The patents concerned smartphone user interfaces, and the jury awarded Core Wireless $ 0.10 in damages per unit.

Verizon ordered to pay $1.35 million for use of ‘Supercookies’ in mobile traffic

Verizon Wireless has been ordered to pay $ 1.35 million for its use of “Supercookies” in mobile traffic, following an investigation by the FCC. As a result, Verizon will have to make some changes to the way it delivers advertising to customers. The process will now require Verizon to get opt-in or opt-out consent from each customer before it is able to target ads at them.

LG V10 can be ordered tomorrow on AT&T, followed by T-Mobile on Wednesday

LG has been gearing up for a substantial Fall launch. The V10 was announced about a month ago, aiming at a November release in the US. So the time has come to know when you can get your hands on LG’s latest.

First up, AT&T has stated that you will be able to order the V10 starting tomorrow (Oct. 27th). However, the stores will be slightly behind. The device won’t be on store shelves until Nov. 6th.

Google search now allows food to be ordered from search results

Ordering food through Google Search

As of May 7, Google search users can order food from restaurants via the search results, according to this Google+ post.

Google states that when searching for a nearby restaurant on your phone, you’ll encounter the “Place an order” option in the results. Once you press it and choose the delivery service, you will be taken to the appropriate website to complete the order.
