Samsung and PayPal strike deal for new in-store and online payment methods

You now have even more ways to pay.

Samsung is continuing to build partnerships to drive even more payments through Samsung Pay, adding PayPal support. Now you can make tap-to-pay purchases all over the U.S. and fund them with your PayPal balance, rather than adding your credit and debit cards individually to both services. Truecaller picks up huge update with Google Duo integration, payment support in India

Truecaller is doubling down in India.

Truecaller has announced that it is teaming up with Google to offer support for Google Duo from within its interface. The tie-in will boost the capabilities of Truecaller’s dialer, which will now offer the ability to make video calls via Google’s messaging client.

Samsung Pay now offers new payment options, expands to new countries

Samsung’s mobile payment service launched last year to offer users an intuitive and secure way to virtually pay anywhere physical credit cards were accepted. This week, the Korean tech giant has announced Samsung Pay has been updated to include a suite of new features. Samsung is also expanding its availability to a few new territories.

Walmart launches its own payment platform in Alabama

Walmart has launched its own payment platform, Walmart Pay, in Alabama. The technology has been deployed in each of the Walmart stores within the state, allowing customers to conveniently pay with the retailer’s app when checking out. The company is continuing to push its own service as opposed to teaming up with Google, Apple and others.

AT&T will cut its Next payment plans from 4 to 2 starting on June 9

At the moment, the device payment plans for AT&T are AT&T Next 24, AT&T Next 18, AT&T Next 12 and AT&T Next With Down Payment. On June 9, that will change to just two plans.

AT&T Next Every Year: Upgrade to a new device every year, with a 24-month financing program term. AT&T Next: Upgrade every 2 years, with a 30-month financing program term.
