Sprint 5G goes live in LA, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, and New York City

Sprint on Tuesday confirmed that its “true mobile 5G” network has launched in another four cities. Starting immediately, customers in Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C. can take advantage of ultra fast data connections.

As is the case with all other carriers and cities, the coverage doesn’t blanket the full cities or markets. Specifically, it starts in targeted neighborhoods. Typically, service providers hit key areas such as stadiums, tourist attractions, malls, airports, and universities first.

Verizon 5G goes live in Phoenix with arrival of Galaxy Note 10

Verizon on Thursday confirmed that Phoenix, Arizona is the tenth city to offer its 5G wireless data. The next-gen, ultra-fast network goes live on August 23.

August 23 is a notable day not just for the growing 5G network, but it also marks the arrival of the Galaxy Note 10. Indeed, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5+ goes on sale in the markets which offer 5G speeds.

AT&T announces the $100 LG Phoenix 2

AT&T is supposed to begin selling the LG Phoenix 2 on its website today for $ 99.99 without a contract under its GoPhone pre-paid brand. The phone will be sold at other retailers on Saturday, May 14 and at AT&T stores on June 10.

Google’s self-driving cars will make their way to Phoenix, Arizona

Google has expanded its self-driving car project testing to the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. This will be the fourth city in the U.S. that will have the company’s driverless cars on the road.

Sprint expands Direct 2 You service to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Orlando, Phoenix, St. Louis, San Antonio and Seattle

Sprint’s recently launched phone delivery and set up service, Direct 2 You, has expanded to several new cities in the US, including Minneapolis/St. Paul, Orlando, Phoenix, St. Louis, San Antonio and Seattle. Ths newest expansion brings the service to 20 major metropolitan areas in the US.
