Google plans to ban one of its Play Store’s biggest developers

Nearly 50 apps from Chinese Android developer DO Global have disappeared from the Google Play store after a Buzzfeed News investigation found evidence of ad fraud and store policy violation. While Google hasn’t commented publically yet, a source told Buzzfeed News that the company is working on banning DO Global as a whole while also removing more apps.

Boost Mobile this week began selling the Motorola Moto G7 Play to customers both online and in stores around the country.

New customers who purchase the latest phone from Motorola, and who sign up for an unlimited plan of $ 50 or higher, receive the device for $ 50. Outright, the phone cost $ 150.

Google is starting to deliver Pixel system updates via the Play Store

Google may deliver system updates alongside app updates on the Play Store.

From Android’s inception, system updates have been delivered from the Settings app, but it looks like that’s set to change with Android Q. The folks at 9to5Google uncovered a new string in the Play Store APK that allows system updates to be installed directly from the app, alongside regular app updates.

Huawei phones can once again install VLC from the Play Store

You can once again use VLC to play music and videos on Huawei devices.

VideoLAN blacklisted Huawei phones from downloading VLC last year, stating EMUI’s “ridiculous policy of killing all background apps” caused several issues with background playback.
