T-Mobile and Sprint are once again talking about a possible merger

A merger could finally be happening, or this will be another road to nowhere.

Possible shooter causes YouTube HQ in California to go on lockdown

6 patients have been reported so far.

At the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, police have responded to multiple 911 calls regarding a possible active shooter in the area.

KRON4, a San Franciso-based news network, reports that one witness heard 20 different shots at one point, and at 1:00 PM local time, the San Bruno Poice Department tweeted that residents should stay away from 901 Cherry Ave. due to “police activity.”

Xiaomi will be at Google I/O, hints at possible Android TV announcement

Xiaomi’s VP Hugo Barra has shared a teaser on Twitter regarding the upcoming Google I/O 2016 conference. The company will attend with what looks to be potential Android TV news. Unfortunately, while the teaser is certainly indicating some kind of remote in the style of the Google I/O branding, it’s unknown just what Xiaomi plans to reveal this week.

Possible Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge designs shown off in leaked renders

A new set of renders shown off by prolific leaker Evan Blass give us a look at what we may expect from the upcoming Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, which are expected to be revealed at Mobile World Congress in February.

Cyanogen to power $75 devices and a possible flagship in 2016

Cyanogen has unveiled a sampling of their plans for 2016, featuring a few ambitious ideas to gain some footing in the mobile market.

The company behind the uber-popular Android custom software-maker, CyanogenMod, posted a tweet from their presentation at Big Android BBQ Amsterdam, outlining their road map for the new year.

Most prominently, Cyanogen is planning to include their CyanogenOS firmware in a number of entry-level smartphones.

The FTC is reportedly looking at Google’s Android division for possible anti-trust issues

Google’s Android division may be the target of an anti-trust investigation by the US government. A new report claims that the Federal Trade Commission and the Justice Department are looking into claims that Google has illegally kept competitors from offering services on Android in favor of its own.
