Netflix is raising its prices in the U.S. — again

Netflix is about to get a little bit more expensive.

First reported by Mashable and confirmed by Business Insider, streaming video service Netflix is raising prices for users in the U.S. The price hike will begin today for new subscribers, while those who currently have accounts will be officially notified of the change starting on October 19 and will be given 30 days notice before their monthly bill is increased. Google matching Apple by lowering prices for some UHD movies to $19.99

Certain UHD titles on Google Play Movies & TV are being lowered from $ 29.99 down to HD prices of $ 19.99.

Alongside the announcement of the Apple TV 4K, Apple revealed that it would be upgrading its customers’ HD digital movie purchases from iTunes to UHD quality at no additional cost. Pixel 2 images leak with same prices as last year

Now that the Pixel 2 XL has leaked it’s time for the smaller Pixel 2 to take the spotlight. The HTC-made device is shown off in Kinda Blue, Just Black, and Clearly White.

The design is similar to the Pixel 2 XL but obviously smaller. The price is quite a bit lower too, sticking to last year’s $ 649 base price and $ 749 upgraded storage price. But instead of 32GB and 128GB, this time you’ll get a choice of 64GB and 128GB.

Netflix increases Canadian prices by up to $2 a month

Netflix is taking a gamble that Canadian customers are addicted enough to eat the extra cost.

Netflix is increasing prices for Canadian customers between $ 1 and $ 2 depending on the plan. From Canadian Press (via CBC):
