Samsung (accidentally) publishes full Galaxy S9 promo video early

Well, this is awkward.

Samsung’s launch event for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ is set to start in just a handful of hours, at 12:00 p.m. ET on February 25, but someone was apparently a bit too hyped about the launch and accidentally published a full-length product promo video. It was promptly taken down, of course, but Slashleaks was able to grab it first.

Verizon publishes strong report for Q4, adds 1.5 million new postpaid lines

U.S. carrier Verizon released the network’s financial report for Q4, showing some solid performance and higher-than-expected earnings. The company brought in $ 34.25 billion in revenue, which is slightly higher than the previous quarter of $ 33.2 billion, and a further 1.5 million new postpaid customers were signed up.

Today’s report ($ 1.32 in earnings per share) also shows a slight increase on last year’s figures of $ 33.19 billion from the same quarter. The  [Read More…]

Google publishes Android 5.0.2 factory images for Nexus 10, Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi

Google has just posted the factory image of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for the Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi. Now that the factory images have been pushed, an OTA update is sure to be around the corner.

Google has just posted the factory image of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for the WiFi version of the 2012 Nexus 7. This follows the rollout of the Android 5.0.1 on many Nexus devices recently. With the factory image up, an OTA update can’t be too far away, and we’ll keep you posted on AndroidCentral if we see Android 5.0.2 on other Nexus smartphones and tablets.

Google publishes Nexus 9 LTE Android 5.0.1 factory image

Hot on the heels of the launch of the Nexus 9 LTE to the Play Store, Google has also released the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop factory image for the 4G-connected slate. The Android 5.0.1 LRX22C image has been posted to Google’s developer page. Since the slate is just now available to buy from the Play Store and through T-Mobile in the U.S., we don’t have an LTE-enabled Nexus 9 to test flashing the factory image.

Samsung prematurely publishes Galaxy Tab S 10.5 support pages

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has been spotted passing through FCC, but now the Android-based tablet has official support pages on Samsung’s online properties. Websites for both Venezuela and Spain have listed the SM-T800, but aren’t providing more information on the product. What we could take from these pages is the company plans to launch the tablet in multiple regions.
