Netflix is raising its prices in the U.S. — again

Netflix is about to get a little bit more expensive.

First reported by Mashable and confirmed by Business Insider, streaming video service Netflix is raising prices for users in the U.S. The price hike will begin today for new subscribers, while those who currently have accounts will be officially notified of the change starting on October 19 and will be given 30 days notice before their monthly bill is increased. T-Mobile raising unlimited throttling limit to 50GB per month

T-Mobile is set to make its unlimited plan a bit more attractive.

After introducing free Netflix to all customers on its T-Mobile ONE unlimited family plan, the carrier is set to take another action that is sure to impress its user base while enticing customers from other carriers.

Google finally matching in-store purchases to online activity, vastly raising value of ads

Keeping track of in-store purchases is the final step of measuring effectiveness of online ads.

Google is finally figuring out how to close the most precious link in the loop of online advertising: knowing when someone makes an in-store purchase in response to an online ad. Google has announced that it will begin using data from billions of credit and debit card transactions, matching the data to its anonymized profiles of Google users to whom it serves ads online.

Netflix raising price of most popular plan to $9.99 per month for new customers

Netflix will soon raise the price of its most popular streaming option by $ 1 per month. Currently $ 8.99, Netflix’s option that allows you to watch two screens at a time with HD quality will soon cost $ 9.99 for new members.

AT&T said to be introducing activation fee for Next and BYOD customers, raising upgrade fee on August 1

According to a new report, AT&T may be raising its upgrade fee to $ 45, and introducing a new $ 15 activation fee for AT&T Next and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) customers, starting August 1. A new report claims that Xiaomi is raising over $ 1 billion in a new funding round that could be finalized as early as Monday. The latest influx is supposedly led by All-Stars Investment, run by former Morgan Stanley analyst Richard Ji.
