Niantic celebrates Pokémon Go anniversary with huge update, real-world events

Niantic is planning summer-long events to celebrate Pokémon Go’s anniversary.

Niantic has announced that it is kicking off a series of in-game and real-world events to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Pokémon Go. Launched last summer, the title proved to be a monumental hit around the world, amassing over 750 million downloads.

Ingress Missions let you create your own real-world treasure hunts

Ingress users will soon get an awesome update, adding in new Ingress Missions. With the new update, players will be able to create their own missions (scavenger hunts) that include a start point, waypoints, and an end point. Missions will start at existing Ingess portals, but can include waypoints based on Field Trip locations.

LG Univa e510 Heads Outside for Some Real-World Time

The first images of the LG Univa e510 have surfaced today, arriving courtesy of Indian Android blog, AndroidOS.in.  According to them the phone was on display at Qualcomm India On 2011 where it was found sitting without a name, next to other Optimus products.  The Univa first hit our radars back in July when it was listed among a leaked LG roadmap.  Specifications include an 800MHz processor, 3.5-inch display, 5-megapixel  [Read More…]
