Amazon issues recall for 260,000 power banks due to overheating concerns

Amazon has issued a recalled for more than 260,000 battery packs it has been selling under its Amazon Basics brand. The accessories were manufactured in China.

NVIDIA launches recall for European wall adapters for potential shock risk

European users will need to exchange their wall adapters.

NVIDIA has launched a recall of their European wall adapters for their SHIELD line of tablets and Android TV boxes sold between July 2014 and May 2017. The company gives instructions on how to specifically identify affected wall adapters.

Memo from CEO Sundar Pichai says over 100 employees are affected by Friday’s presidential order.

Google’s Sundar Pichai has sent a memo to all staff working overseas — get back home now.

Samsung’s hurried Note 7 recall may have led to the phone’s downfall

It’s nearly two weeks since Samsung discontinued the Galaxy Note 7, and the company is yet to determine why several units caught fire. However, according to The Wall Street Journal, the hasty recall process initiated by Samsung following reports of the first Note 7 units catching fire in late August may have exacerbated the issue.

Samsung expects to lose $3.1 billion in profits over Note 7 recall

Samsung has already revised its earnings forecast for the current quarter, estimating that it will lost $ 2.3 billion in profits over the discontinuation of the Note 7. The company is now projecting a further $ 3 billion decline in operating profit over the next two fiscal quarters, bringing the total losses from the recall to $ 5.3 billion.
