Freedom Mobile is rolling out RCS support for Android Messages

You’ll need to be running Android 5.0 or later with Android Messages v3.6 or newer.

Since iMessage won’t be coming to Android anytime soon, Google’s been hard at work to build up its own version of the popular messaging service using RCS technology and its excellent Android Messages app. On Thursday, October 11, Freedom Mobile announced that it’s now rolling out RCS features for its subscribers.

Fortnite Android Beta begins rolling out for supported Android devices

Well, that didn’t last long. After a rumored 30-day exclusivity period and a confirmed “few day exclusive” comment from Samsung, the Fortnite Android Beta has officially begun rolling out for Android devices. WhatsApp’s group voice and video calling feature is rolling out to everyone

WhatsApp’s group calling feature supports up to four people simultaneously.

WhatsApp announced earlier this year that it would roll out group calling for both video and voice calls, and the feature is now rolling out to everyone on Android and iOS. Group calling supports four people simultaneously, and to initiate a call, you’ll first need to place a one-on-one voice or video call and select the “add participants” button from the top right corner.

July 2018 security patch now rolling out for Pixel and Nexus devices

The Pixel 2 and 2 XL get improved Wi-Fi performance with this patch.

Another month, another security patch. On July 2, Google officially started pushing out the July 2018 Android security patch for its Pixel and Nexus devices.

OnePlus 6 update to OxygenOS 5.1.7 now rolling out

OnePlus is now pushing out another update to its flagship OnePlus 6.

OxygenOS 5.1.7 is now rolling out to the OnePlus 6 over the air. This update fixes a schedule setting issue with Do Not Disturb mode and also updates the bootloader to improve system security.
