July 2018 security patch now rolling out for Pixel and Nexus devices

The Pixel 2 and 2 XL get improved Wi-Fi performance with this patch.

Another month, another security patch. On July 2, Google officially started pushing out the July 2018 Android security patch for its Pixel and Nexus devices.

Both the factory images and OTA files are live right now, meaning you can already flash the patch to your phone if you don’t feel like waiting for the over-the-air update to hit your phone.

Microsoft News now official, rolling out to everyone on iOS and Android

OnePlus 6 update to OxygenOS 5.1.7 now rolling out

OnePlus is now pushing out another update to its flagship OnePlus 6.

OxygenOS 5.1.7 is now rolling out to the OnePlus 6 over the air. This update fixes a schedule setting issue with Do Not Disturb mode and also updates the bootloader to improve system security.

Oreo update starts rolling out to T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 8

All carrier variants of the Galaxy Note 8 in the U.S. have made the switch to Oreo.

T-Mobile’s variant of the Galaxy Note 8 is starting to receive the stable Android 8.0 Oreo update. Fitbit OS 2.0 rolling out to Fitbit Ionic with new gestures, Deezer, and more

Quick Replies are coming later in the spring.

The Fitbit Versa is Fitbit’s latest smartwatch, and with it comes an upgraded version of Fitbit OS that debuted on the Ionic last October. Now, Fitbit’s updating the Ionic with the Versa’s improved software.

Officially titled as Fitbit OS 2.0, the update is rolling out now to 10% of Ionic owners. Fitbit calls this a “progressive rollout,” and all Ionic users should have the update within the coming weeks.
